Quick Links

All the pages under Quick Links contain all the links that were ever referenced in my posts.  These pages will be updated once a month for all my readers.

Vancouver Eateries

  • Car Free Day Vancouver – I wasn’t too sure where to categorize this link.  There is shopping and eating and lots of outdoor fun on Car Free Day and there are three locations as well.  Unfortunately it is only for one day.  Check it out next year!  www.carfreevancouver.org
  • The Last Crumb – Delicious Teas and a relaxed atmosphere for High Tea.  Bonus is you can get Gluten Free High Tea.  I’ve been here here twice now for High Tea and one other time just for lunch.  Yummy!  www.lastcrumb.ca
  • East is East – My favourite place to get a soy chai tea and their desserts are delicious and it’s also near my local yarn shop.  www.eastiseast.ca
  • Waves – A great place to get a Rooibus tea.  My favourite is their Rooibus Symphony with chocolate and whip cream!  wavescoffee.com
  • Trafiq Cafe and Bakery – Another great place to get something to eat and also near my local yarn shop.  trafiq.ca
  • Honey Doughnuts & Goodies – A good way to start or end a hike or kayaking session in Deep Cove.  honeydoughnuts.com/about-us

Craft Fairs

  • Got Craft? – I’ve been to this fair twice now and I love it.  If you are ever in Vancouver and here at the right time, check it out.  gotcraft.com
  • Portobello West – Another crafty market.  I’ve only been once.  I prefer Got Craft myself.  www.portobellowest.com
  • Knit Social – A great place to start if you are looking for knitting events in Vancouver.  I met the ladies at this years Got Craft fair and they were really nice to chat with and had great advice.  Check their site regularly to get updates on the next Knit City event.  knitsocial.ca

  • Roxypop – I discovered them the first time I went to the Got Craft fair.  They make things such as iPad and laptop sleeves.  You can find them on Etsy.com under roxypopdesigns.  www.etsy.com
  • LanaBetty – Sister P discovered her at her first Got Craft fair this year.  LanaBetty makes the cutest owl earrings and they comes in a whole variety of colours.  www.lanabetty.com
  • Karla’s Specialteas – Another discovery for Sister P.  We both love tea and it was nice to try from a a local company.  karlasspecialteas.ca
  • Kohana Jewellery – Right now, she is my favourite.  I discovered her at the latest Got Craft fair.  I love her vintage inspired jewellery, especially the ones that incorporate vintage maps.  I had one custom made, of course with a map of New Zealand.  But there were problems and she offered to make me a new one or give me a refund.   So I’m really loving her right now.  She’s making me a new one.  I’ll have a picture posted once I receive it.  You can find her at her own website or on Etsy.com as well.  www.kohana-online.com
  • International Travel Maps & Books – Located in Richmond.  Maps of places that you would never even think of visiting.  I’ve found maps for Ireland and of course New Zealand here.  I’ll be coming here again and again for future trips to other parts of the world.  www.itmb.ca

  • My 3 Boybarians – My photography instructor recommended this site:  31 Days to a Better Photo.  It is absolutely great if you are just staring out or need a refresher!  my3boybarians.com/31-days-to-a-better-photo/
  • Wordle – Just a fun site for your blog, to see the most used words in your blog, in picture format.  www.wordle.net
